About
Burger She Wrote was founded in 2021 by professional skateboarder Don “Nuge” Nguyen and restaurateur Steven Arroyo. Built on a simple idea – quality ingredients such as 100% American Wagyu beef from Snake River Farms and King’s Hawaiian buns, creating the perfect balance of sweet and savory. The menu stays simple: burgers, fries, and the signature Oklahoma smash burger – a nod to Nuge’s hometown of Oklahoma City, where the style originated.
What began as a neighborhood burger spot on Beverly Blvd has now become an LA burger staple. Burger She Wrote is now expanding, with new locations in Sherman Oaks and Brentwood set to open in 2026.
